Outta My Way 05:58
Lets go, lets go Dale, vámonos Steady with the aim, gotta follow real close Real far from tame, wild I grow Tell you a little story about a child I know Don’t need no name, recognize soul Ask me again, I reckon I know Help me bring light to my own shadow Recognize me by the seeds I sow Earth my body, air my lungs, water my spirit, fire my tongue Calling my daughters, calling my sons Callin’ em swift, like the river I run I run, run straight to the sun talk to the moon like what have I done? look in the mirror, what have I become? Looking at my shadows now one by one I’m deep, deep, what do I see? What do I say? Who do I reach? Why do I pray? How can I keep? Let me explain, story runs deep straight to the core, cut to the chase Land in war, people erased, nowhere to hide, nowhere to escape I fly through the doors, I fly through the gates {ch.} Waaake, waaaake, outta my way Out of my range, out of my space Out of my field, out of my lane Don’t wanna get burned? Stay outta my flame Comes out of my pain, out of my rage, out of my mind, I'm out of this cage, Out of sweet time, I’m out this race Too much at stake, can’t stay this way [v.] I’m a lioness rising, feel my love Roaring in pain ‘cause they kill my cubs Ancient wounds, gotta heal this blood Tell you a little story about a place I’m from Come, Come, follow that drum You know that sound, you remembering something Once seen, cannot be unseen Whats done cannot be undone Raised in the land of the free, home of the brave Let me say it again - home of the brave but who were the brave? That song don’t say the land of the free and the indians slain the buffalo slain, the horses slain 500 years couldn’t cover that stain clear as day, and the evidence lay in the colonized life that we live today We got lies in the church, lies in the schools, news trying to cover up years of abuse So many children, speaking their truth raise up mine, cuz it got to me too Heart is on fire, speaking to you put it on blast like what can we do? Where do we start? How do we move? How do we heal…gotta heal these wounds Waaake, waaaake, outta my way Out of my range, out of my space Out of my field, out of my lane Don’t wanna get burned? Stay outta my flame Comes out of my pain, out of my rage, out of my mind, Im out of this cage, Out of sweet time, I’m out this race Too much at stake, can’t stay this way Earth my body, air my lungs, water my spirit, fire my tongue Calling my daughters, calling my sons Callin’ em swift, like the river I run I run, run straight to the sun talk to the moon like what have I done? look in the mirror, what have I become? Looking at my shadows now one by one I see, see.. people like me who’ve been persecuted for centuries for the magic they carry, truth they speak lines passed down in the ways they teach forced to forsake, burned at the stake by decree of the church, tortured and raped Some went underground, and there they stayed long long ago in a land far away Survived in silence, raised in fear with colonized ways and we brought that here Lies in the church, lies in the schools, news trying to cover up years of abuse heart is on fire, speaking to you put it on blast like what can we do? Looking at my shadows now one by one

Pain R.I.P. 04:39
This one is for anyone who has ever felt the depths of a pain so deep they could never quite express the magnitude at which that moment carved into their soul and left a scar to mark them with that memory to hold from that moment on forever changing everything they know and go on from there to affect the way they’d grow consciously or unconsciously forced to face it- the lesson based in unwanted initiations So many ways which we react to that fire, some hurt, some hurt others, some rage, some cry so many ways we try to deal with that pain Me? I tried to numb it out, smoke it all away but the truth is, it never really went away ’til I cleared the clouds and started facing it today ready for a change with my soul seeking peace so these wounds can finally heal, I release [chorus] I release any pain that I’ve carried too long I release any shame from anyone who’s done wrong I release any trace of it so I can move on so I can finally heal, be whole be strong and if you’ve ever felt even half of this too I extend this healing, I sing this for you
I pray you can release anything you’ve been through so you can be whole and be you For my mother, grandmother and my ancestors too, For my little sisters and my little brothers who have ever suffered at the hands of men back when they could not defend Heard their silent battlecries loud, now I cry for them Not just men, but hands of women too perpetuating traumas that their souls have been through and while I realize forgiveness will never make it right, I pray we can release this pain to stop the cycle Cura cura cura, sana, sana, sana Spirit of the Water, will you help us clear these traumas? Cleansed by the salt, taken by the sea for the healing of us all, may this pain rest in peace From Africa to India, from Italy to Spain from here I shed these tears to wash away the stains from England to America, from Haiti to Syria from my heart to yours, I sing this song to all areas I release any pain that I’ve carried too long I release any shame from anyone who’s done wrong I release any trace of it so I can move on so I can finally heal, be whole be strong and if you’ve ever felt even half of this too I extend this healing, I sing this for you I pray you can release anything you’ve been through so you can be whole and be you This verse is for anyone who has ever had to mourn the loss of a loved one in a place torn by war This one is for the indigenous who survived the horrors at the hands of the church and waves of conquistadores, This one’s for my brother with a bottle in his hand because he bottled up the history that happened on these lands This one is for my sister, with a needle in her arm, just trying to numb the pain from a thousand years of karma For the peace, the healing, and relief you deserve, with these tears, I send this song clear across the Earth, through the Earth, through the air, through the water, and the fire, carried on the eagles wing’s straight up to the Sky, and if you’ll accept, from my heart to your heart, I share this healing from my scars to your scars We deserve to be happy, we deserve feel joy, it’s only our spirit that could ever fill this void, so I raise mine up, and I offer as a gift, these tears as holy water to release and uplift, these words as a purifier, flying off the pages, sent back in time to heal trauma through the ages, thousands of years ago, breaking any spells, with these hands, I make new heaven from these hells, cleansed by the salt, taken by the sea, For the healing of us all, May this pain rest in peace. (chorus)

I remember when I was a child I would pray God every night and every morning I would say out loud God could you feed the hungry, could you help the poor? God could you make sure my family stays secure? Over time well, that little girl - she she grew up stopped going to church but me & god kept in touch even through those years, when I couldn’t believe 'cause how could God let bad things happen to good people but I had to learn, my love it's not that simple if i could, I would rewrite those chapters with my pencil but look at who you came to be, look at what you are today only God knows all them demons that you had to slay See, where I’m standing now, I wouldn’t change a thing I’d just share what you’ve found with these future queens and kings 'cause sisters will look up to you, brothers will look up to you I know you need care so I swear I’ll fill my cup for you I'm up for you, down for you, always been around for you the voice inside your head saying you can do this, pound the truth into the deepest core of your whole system and the whole damn world if it’ll listen Cuando todo ha pasado Cuando ya volví a Dios Ojalá le di todo, recordada por mi voz Una luz en la oscuridad, toda va pasar Eres de la paz, no te dejes olvidar Todo lo que no te sirve, mira déjalo atras tu mereces ser feliz y volver a respirar Yo conozco esos ojos aunque no me digas nada aunque no me digas nada Se que hay cosas en la vida, que por tanto no se olvidan dejan marcas, que aunque no se ven, no se quitan pero tiempo sana y cura hasta estas locuras Yo en el futuro dice, "Logras, te lo juro" Se que logro, se que mi amor es mi tesoro, Se que cuando yo me muero, yo le di mi todo con todo lo que sobra y mas…. y con razón tengo cuartos enormes entre este mi corazón Vamos caminando corredores olvidados poco a poco haciendo paz con el pasado conociendo esta sabrosura que es la vida que me trajo algo dulce para todas mis heridas Mira Dios mandó un angel, y cuando ella me mira suelto todo lo que pesa pa poder yo recibirla ella me ve por dentro, que me vea sonriendo y todo que le ofresco, es todo lo que tengo Cuando todo ha pasado Cuando ya volví a Dios Ojalá le di todo, recordada por mi voz Una luz en la oscuridad, toda va pasar Eres de la paz, no te dejes olvidar Todo lo que no te sirve, mira déjalo atras tu mereces ser feliz y volver a respirar Yo conozco esos ojos aunque no me digas nada aunque no me digas nada

No Lullaby 04:27
Wake up from your sleepy time Could you help me redefine, what we’re holding high rather than a dollar sign? 'cause everything else is falling by the wayside Giving the world away for that bottom line So many beings & lives just brushed aside so many times that people try to justify Well I can say Im tired of this storyline saying “I feel the pain, but it ain’t mine” [ Barbara Marx Hubbard sample ] I don’t sing no lullabies The world is my alibi I'm just another from the same Mother passing by If theres a better way, then damn- I’m gonna try I’m trying to lift you and me at the same time Here we are, circling the same road after years, carrying the same load It's come around, are we finally ready now to try a new route & let it all go from the old, furnishing a new path Voices from the future and the past saying, “Who’s that?” Just another soul, raising up her voice lighting up the void saying, "Know you have a choice in" [Naresh Giangrande sample ] I believe Together we pull through I don’t know if theres another way to do it and I can see it takes at least two to learn what it really truly means to be human All we need is this connection to each other, to the water, to the ground and I believe in our resurrection born again from the pages unbound No more sleepy time Could you help me redefine, what we’re holding high rather than a dollar sign? Because it's a new day, and these are new times Lets try a new way, I’ll be right beside [Alan Watts sample]
