Lyrics:
I took a long walk this morning
the sun came up as it starting pouring
I remember being little once upon a time when
somebody told me, "Thats God crying"
If she is, I think I know why man
people going hungry and her children dying
and she knows, theres no good reason
for She, provides plenty to feed them
but the greedy men leaving 'em in shackles
making profit off of slaughtering cattle
and it is, brother, no less - conditioning man with a taste for flesh
See there's, plenty of money for the war- Yes
but no money for the homeless
We got plenty for corporations
but not enough for a proper education
Could someone please explain to me
how we continue to let this be?
Why there are innocents locked up in prisons
while the villains at the top run free?
See I refuse to to break my back miss
to pay these outrageous taxes
I believe that I've had enough
I can see this system is beyond corrupt
The train runs at full speed but the agenda stays hidden
we pay for prison camps, sterilizations, trafficking of children
and I know we mean well, but its time we stand up
its time the sheep face the shepherd, before the shepherd takes us
break we must, from the spell that has been cast upon the people
by the puppeteers of media, both complicit and deceitful
aimed to steer your point of focus, 'til your viewpoint has been shifted
I aim to seek the truth until this dark veil has been lifted
See there's, plenty of money for the war- Yes
but no money for the homeless
We got plenty for corporations
but not enough for a proper education
Could someone please explain to me
how we continue to let this be?
Why there are innocents locked up in prisons
while the villains at the top run free?
I walk around and wonder if its too late to make a change
if everyone obeys the State, and that's the state of things
if we just take our happy pills and turn the other cheek
if I pretend its not my problem 'cause it doesn't affect me
but it, in fact, affects me because We are all One
and if you can see this, then a Revolution has begun
We are sons and daughters of the stars, and of Mother Earth
let us take the power from these men and give it back to Her
See theres, plenty of money for the war- Yes
but no money for the homeless
We got plenty for corporations
but not enough for a proper education
Could someone please explain to me
how we continue to let this be?
Why there are innocents locked up in prisons
while the villains at the top run free?
"We will not rest. As long as bombs drop, and civilians die, we will not rest. While the oligarchs and the war machine get our money, we will not rest" ~ Cynthia Mckinney
